BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FROM a field of 11 competitors, St. Kitts-Nevis representative 22-year-old Trevicia Adams was adjudged Fourth Runner-up in the 2013 Miss Caribbean World Pageant held over the past weekend (May 4) in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
Miss British Virgin Islands Sharie B deCastro was crowned Queen and she walked away with the awards for Best Intellect, Best Evening Wear, Best Talent and Best Poise.
The First Runner-up position went to Dominica’s Leslassa Armour Shillingford who also copped the award for Miss Photogenic and tied with deCastro for Best Swimwear.
Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines Carice Glasgow was adjudged Second Runner-up while Miss St. Lucia Joy-Ann Biscette copped the Third Runner-up position and won the award for Best Costume.
The pageant was held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Station Road, Road Town, and promptly started at 7:00 p.m., according to a media report.
The other competitors were Miss Antigua and Barbuda Ranee Laronde, Miss Cuba Daniela Garcia, Miss US Virgin Islands Cliaunjel Williams, Miss Bahamas Mea Petit Homme, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Sonia Millington and Miss United States of America Jaielean Thomas.
Adams is the reigning Miss Caribbean Culture Queen.
