BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE St. Kitts Music Festival Local Marketing Committee has launched a public voting contest as part of its selection process in determining the four top females from a field of six to be chosen as promotional models for the upcoming 17th annual event.
The photo ‘Like’ contest is being conducted on the Music Festival’s Facebook page.
The competitors are Samantha Wilson, Te-shell Sutton, Tara Brandy, Scoticia Hendrickson, Clilia Davis and Rickielia Doras.
In an album uploaded on Saturday (May 11) entitled ‘St. Kitts Music Festival Promotional Ladies - TOP SIX’, the race to be one of the festival’s ambassadors seems tight in some instances.
As of this afternoon (May 15), the points for each contestant are – Brandy 179, Davis 322, Doras 349, Hendrickson 300, Sutton 335 and Wilson, who is a former Music Festival Promotional Model, leads with 379.
Sutton is the only competitor from sister isle Nevis.
These girls have been selected following a casting call held last month at the Sweet Lime Restaurant on Port Zante.
This year’s St. Kitts Music Festival is slated to take place at the Warner Park Stadium from June 27 to 29.
The line-up for the three-night event is as follows:
Thursday - The Small Axe Band, Nu Vybes Band International, Grand Masters Band, Kore Band, Fay-Ann Lyons, Super Blue and Bunji Garlin.
Friday - Dejour, Dagah, Charles Emmanuel, Tessanne Chin, Konshens, Shaggy and Beres Hammond.
Saturday - Cayon Pantastics, Andy Narell featuring Relator, Etienne Charles and Lionel Richie.
