BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FROM a field of six females who were competing for a chance to be called a Music Festival Promotional Model, the four top ladies were announced over the past weekend during a second ‘Jump Off’ event that was held on sister isles Nevis.
The selectees are Samantha Wilson, Te-shell Sutton, Scoticia Hendrickson and Clilia Davis.
The Friday afternoon’s (May 17) event, which was organised by St. Kitts Music Festival Local Marketing Committee, was held on Main Street.
Notably, Wilson was one of the very first Music Festival Girls among seven that were chosen back in 2011, and Sutton is the first promotional model from Nevis.
On May 11, a Photo ‘Like’ Contest was launched on the Music Festival’s Facebook page in an effort to add to the selection process of this year festivity’s ambassadors.
The six contestants were chosen following a casting call held last month at the Sweet Lime Restaurant on Port Zante.
The other two competitors were Tara Brandy and Rickielia Doras.
This year’s St. Kitts Music Festival is slated to take place at the Warner Park Stadium from June 27 to 29.
The line-up for the three-night event is as follows:
Thursday - The Small Axe Band, Nu Vybes Band International, Grand Masters Band, Kore Band, Fay-Ann Lyons, Super Blue and Bunji Garlin.
Friday - Dejour, Dagah, Charles Emmanuel, Tessanne Chin, Konshens, Shaggy and Beres Hammond.
Saturday – Cayon Pantastics, Andy Narell featuring Relator, Etienne Charles and Lionel Richie.
