Sweet Dreamz Entertainment Inc Aim of the event: It is an annual event that aims to show appreciation for and give encouragement to mothers, especially those that are single parents. Often, young single mothers are viewed negatively by society because of the mistakes they have made and are never given fair opportunities or the support that is necessary to rise above these mistakes and acquire the things needed to become productive members of society.
Recognizing the need to combat this phenomenon the Miss Mother’s Day Pageant was created. It is an outlet that these mothers can use to express themselves, showcase their talents and help to eradicate the stigma that is attached to persons in their situation.
History of the event: The Pageant was first hosted in 2010 and engaged six (6) sterling young ladies from various parts of the island. After a successful inaugural hosting the Pageant received much acclaim and is now considered a much anticipated annual event.
Previously hosted by Mr. Michael Walters the Pageant is now under new management, the Sweet Dreamz Entertainment Inc. Under this new management many improvements and revisions have been made to enhance the experience of the contestants and improve the quality of entertainment received by the audience.
Our Role: As Chairperson of the Committee it is our responsibility to ensure that all contestants are registered and adequately prepared for the event. This includes the sourcing of chaperones and coaches and the hosting of practice sessions and the signing of a pageant contract.
To This end is a very unfortunate situation for Miss Deslia Desouza is was a participating contestant in this year Miss Mother’s Day Beauty Pageant and was on her way of turning her life around for the better. Sweet dreamz entertainment believes strongly in our mothers in this federation.
I would like to apologise to all fans, pontential sponsors, team mates, my contestants and to all mothers. Miss Desouze will not be a participating contestant in this year’s pageant due to violation of contract.
