BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN autopsy performed on the body of Chazere Davis of Taylor’s Pasture in Nevis revealed that she died as a result of strangulation/pressure to the neck.
The motionless body of the 18-year-old sixth former was discovered in her home by a family member on Monday night (May 20).
Informed sources had told this media house that following the discovery, the family member had summoned a doctor and the police were subsequently notified of the situation.
The police, having learned that the last person with whom she was allegedly seen was a 52-year-old man, went in search of him. The police however found that his home was secured and they had to remove a door to gain entrance.
On entering the home, they found one Kelvin Williams lying in a pool of blood in his bathroom with what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound to his neck.
He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital and is believed to be still warded there.
