May 23rd, 2013 -- Day two came to a close with only 7 of the 38 scheduled games completed. The biennial staging of the UWI Inter-campus Games has began on a competitive high after an exciting Opening Ceremony featuring Hansel Parchment, Olympic Bonze Medalist (2012) declaring the games officially open.
A multi-disciplinary event held over a ten day period May 21-30,between the four major campuses of the University of the West Indies. The ten sporting activities to be contested include; Cricket, Football, Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, Netball, Table Tennis, Hockey, Volleyball and Track & Field.
At the end of day 2 the fierce completion between defending champions Cave Hill, Barbados and Mona, Jamaica was evident, with Cave Hill, Barbados wining four games in the first of three sets of seven sporting disciplines. Only two games down St. Augustine, Trinidad is a strong contender in this competition.
