PM Douglas holds talks with Kuwaiti investment and economic officials

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas meeting with officials of the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development .

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May,  22nd 2013 (CUOPM) – Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas met with officials of the Kuwaiti Investment Authority and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development on Wednesday.
     
    Dr. Douglas who is on an Official Visit to Kuwait received the Managing Director of Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Mr.  Bader Mohammad Al-Saad at the Bayan Palace on Wednesday.
     
    The St. Kitts and Nevis leader also met with the Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Abdulwahab Ahmad Al-bader.
     
    During the two meetings both sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of development and investment.

     

    Also on Wednesday, His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Muburak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held a lunch banquet in honour of his visiting counterpart from St. Kitts and Nevis.
     
    In earlier talks with the Kuwaiti Prime Minister both leaders discussed the tightening of bilateral ties and boosting cooperation in several areas especially in the economic, commercial and investment fields.
     
    Prime Minister Douglas is accompanied on his Official Visit by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Elvis Newton.
