BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RONALD ‘King Louie’ Williams, IT Administrator in Delisle Walwyn Co. Ltd. has stepped up to the challenge of running against the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris in the next General Elections as the new People’s Action Movement (PAM) candidate for constituency #7.

Spurred on by the huge crowd at the Bold and Gold event held in Sandy Point this past Saturday (Nov. 15), Williams publicly thanked all his supporters for their encouragement and urged them to vouch their continued support for him.

“It’s rather exciting to be the new PAM candidate. It is indeed a huge responsibility to represent the people of Constituency 7, but I have a strong desire to make a difference and provide transparency and a heightened level of democracy. These are a few of the things I think are still missing in the current administration.

“I have a strong passion to see healthcare and education enhanced in order to bring a closer relationship between government and the people. I would also like to see the re-creation of a middle class and remove the structure of simply having rich and poor in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

Williams noted that he is quite confident about winning his seat and indicated that although the seat had been held for 15 years by his political rival, the current representative “has lost touch with the people there”. He opined that Constituency 7 is not a safe seat for the Labour Party and reemphasized that he has “a good chance in taking this seat in the next elections.”

He indicated that he will be officially launched in the near future, and encouraged the residents of Belle Vue to Ottleys to support the change. Williams will be replacing attorney Chesley Hamilton in that voting district.
