BRADES, Montserrat (June 3, 2013) – Government officials and stakeholders will receive an update this week on the new port development plans.
According to Director of Public Works Ron Beardsley, design consultants Halcrow have reached the 90% completion phase of the new port design. Company representatives will be on island this week and will hold meetings with members of the Cabinet and opposition members on Tuesday. Presentations will also be held with the port steering committee, port operators, police, fishermen, environmentalists and the media.
In 2012, government approved the Little Bay new town and port at Carr’s Bay development plans.
