By: Loshaun Dixon, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - CONAREE Lady Spartans have regained control in the Elvis Star Browne Women’s League after a comprehensive and convincing 4-nil win over Cayon FC in a game played at the St. Mary’s Park in Cayon on yesterday (June 11).

Two goals each from Shackima Wilkinson and Shaniqua Browne gave Conaree’s team an advantage which, added to the recent misery of the Cayon team that recently suffered a 9-0 defeat to Conaree’s closest rivals, Newtown.

Wilkinson’s goals came in the 10th and 82nd minutes with the opener being struck from all of 30 yards. Browne’s goals scored in the 39th and 80th minute secured a convincing victory for the Lady Spartans who remain undefeated in the League.

Cayon however enjoyed some good possession in the game but could not get beyond Conaree’s defence; a side that features a few players who have played in different age groups for the national female teams.

Officials were James Matthew and Florencetine Morton.

Conaree now moves ahead of Newtown in the Points Standing, a team which has played a game less and is also undefeated.
