    Overseas nationals Xmas Greetings to be featured on local TV

     

     

     

    CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS – SEVERAL local access television channel producers are collaborating to bring a different kind of holiday cheer to residents of the Leeward Islands.
     
    According to reports reaching SKNVibes, plans have been finalised by the Television Producers of Caribbean Broadcasting Network in Tortol, Kreative Communications Network in Anguilla and Advantage Communications in Nevis to meet with nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis residing in Atlanta, New York, Toronto and Montreal over the next two weeks to produce Holiday Video Greeting Cards.
     
    In Atlanta, members of the newly-established St. Kitts-Nevis Association of Atlanta will gather at the Sugarloaf Country Club from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29 while nationals residing in New York are being invited to attend and support the 4th Annual Talent Expo 2008 being hosted by the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and Success Catering in the Bronx, New York on Saturday, November 30, starting at 5:00.pm.
     
    During the New York event, nationals will have the opportunity to record their Christmas Greetings.

    The National Cultural Associations of Toronto and Montreal, Canada, will host special events on December 6 and 7 respectively, and once again St. Kitts and Nevis nationals who are resident in these cities will enjoy the privilege of sharing their holiday sentiments.
     
    The network of Leeward Islands TV Producers are extending invitations to nationals from the entire Leeward Island Chain, who live in the cities where productions will be taking place, to attend the events and to have their Holiday Greetings recorded.
     
    The project is aimed at connecting nationals abroad with their families and heritage at this time of the year when giving and sharing are at their peak.
     
    The final productions will be broadcast on InfoChannel, Nevis; ZIZ Television, St. Kitts; People’s Television, Montserrat; St. Maarten Cable TV; KCN TV, Anguilla; and Caribbean Broadcasting Network, Tortola , BVI.
