Each year around this time, Labour rushes to give their distorted view of June 10 and the events surrounding the successful breakaway of Anguilla from the union of St. Kitts Nevis and Anguilla. Their obsession with this event and their constant and feverish attempts to blame PAMs leaders for everything including attempts to overthrow the Government might by now have convinced those who knew nothing or read nothing else about this gross distortion of history.
One source that exonerates all of the PAM leaders imprisoned at that time is the Courts. The record of the Court shows that there was no evidence whatsoever to convict any PAM member. Not one member of the PAM team was convicted and Government was ordered to pay their costs for the Appeal Court as well as for the Court below. The Anguillans held and tried were also unanimously acquitted and returned home to a heros welcome.

Another source that describes the folly of the actions of Bradshaw and his ministers is the book written by Governor Sir Fred Phillips who was Governor during this period -1967-1968. As told in his book Caribbean Life and Culture, he was convinced that the actions of Bradshaw and his Attorney General Eugene Walwyn were contrary to the Constitution of the country and he did not hesitate to tell him so.
Sir Fred declared: A Governor cannot constitutionally indefinitely continue a running battle with a Premier. He felt it would eventually affect his health and he began to experience a weariness of spirit. Accordingly he requested Her Majesty the Queens approval for his retirement in 1968.
