Labour Party Administration continues to provide benefits for the people

By: Erasmus Williams, Press Release (CUOPM)

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 19TH 2013 (CUOPM)  –  St. Kitts and Nevis is not in a crisis and inspite of a global recession, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is expecting a growth rate of 1.9%.

“We have account surpluses.   We continue to outpace every other OECS nation – including Barbados - in manufacturing exports.  The travel industry rates St. Kitts and Nevis as a highly desired destination.

Our debt is down.  Our crime is down despite the recent spikes in Nevis and Cayon,” said Prime Minister Douglas during his “Ask the Prime Minister” radio programme on Tuesday.

Dr. Douglas told listeners that his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration continues to provide scholarships to young people and Kittitians are owning homes and land at levels that twenty years ago no-one could have ever imagined.

“Political freedoms are alive and well. Skills-training and apprenticeship opportunities are readily available for any person interested in enhancing their job-related or entrepreneurial skills,” Dr. Douglas said.
