    Kittitian Sherizan T. Mills is now a bonafide graduate after completing her studies of three years at the now Florida Memorial University (FMU) formerly known as the Florida Memorial College (FMC) in Miami, Florida

    Kittitian Sherizan T. Mills is now a bonafide graduate after completing her studies of three years at the now Florida Memorial University (FMU) formerly known as the Florida Memorial College (FMC) in Miami, Florida. She is a member of the first class of graduates to commence their studies under the new name and in the newly incorporated city.

    On Saturday April 30th before family and friends she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Management Information Systems, graduating with highest academic honors- Summa Cum Laude.

    During her tenure at FMC/U she made excellent scholastic progress and was involved in numerous activities and organizations. Her tenacity and responsible disposition was acknowledged by others who played a role in situating and placing her in positions to further supplement and compliment her educational journey.

    She has worked diligently and academically to ensure that the grades she earned were above average and beyond. This diligence subsequently garnered her positions on either the President Honor List (all As) or the Deans List for all semesters. 

    As a further result of her scholastic achievement, Mills was recommended and chosen to serve as a classroom assistant to the instructor of the universitys orientation and college success skills course. She retained that position for five (5) semesters. 

    As a classroom assistant, Mills served as a liaison between the instructor and the students and was well respected by both.

    Being an honor student has its privileges and awards.  For example, Mills was named among the Whos Who Among American Colleges and Universities, was inducted into Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honor Society. 

    She served first as secretary and then as vice president of Alpha Kappa Mu.

    Mills is the daughter of Kittitian entrepreneur Idetha Mills-Thomas.
    Another crowning glory occurred when Mills received the top student award from the Division of Computer Sciences and Mathematics. 

    This award was based on grade point average, hers being 3.946 on a 4.0 scale, and campus involvement among others. Additional extra-curricular activities included memberships in the Caribbean International Student Association (CISA) and the IT (Information Technology) Society.

    Mills plans to attend graduate school in Georgia State University in Atlanta starting in the Spring 2006 semester where she will be concentrating on her general MBA degree. She also plans to return to the federation to work in a management position of for a Bank. 

    Sherizan Mills is the daughter of Kittitian entrepreneur Idetha Mills Thomas and is a scholastic gem of the soil that has made her country of St. Kitts and Nevis proud.

    The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis congratulates Sherizan Mills on her high achievement and commencement.
