CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – JUST 12 days following the shooting-death of Denrick ‘Bluff’ Hanley of Fountain Village, another young man from Nevis has lost his life by the gun.
Reports reaching this publication state that 22-year-old Adrian ‘Mac 1’ Springette of Cedar Trees, Grove Village was killed early this morning (Jun. 22) at the Elquemedo Willett Park (formerly known as Grove Park) in Charlestown.
This information was confirmed by Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David, who indicated that officers of the Charlestown Police Station, the Violent Crime Unit, Task Force and the Crime Scene Unit responded “to a report of a shooting incident at about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday 22 June 2013 at Grove Park, which left one young male dead.
David said initial investigation revealed that Springette died at the scene and five young males are in police custody assisting with the investigation.
“Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is ask to call the Violent Crime Unit at 469 5392 Ext. 27, or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477,” David said, adding, “Remember your information will be kept confidential and you may be eligible to receive a reward.”
