By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FOUR individuals who were part of a two-vehicle head-on collision were rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital. And among them were two who had to be removed from one of the vehicles with assistance from the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Service.

The incident - according to information received by this publication - took place at about 10:00 a.m. today (Jul. 5) along the Island's Main Road in the vicinity of Ross Veterinary School of Medicine.

Details are not altogether clear, but SKNVibes understands that motorcar P8421 was travelling  in a westerly direction and motor jeep P475 in the opposite direction when they collided.

Further information suggests that when the collision occurred, P475 pushed P8421 several meters before both vehicles came to a halt.

Both the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Fire and Rescue Services were summoned to the scene to assist with the casualties.

The latter - this media house understands - was successful in extracting two individuals from P8421, including the driver who was trapped behind the wheel. The other individual - said to be a female - reportedly complained of pain to both hips.

The EMS transported the injured individuals to the JNF General Hospital.

Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Station are making investigations into the incident.
