BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man involved in a midday crash today (Jul. 10) forewent a trip to the hospital – on his own accord - after the vehicle he was driving struck a utility pole and overturned.
Reports reaching SKNVibes indicate that Anand Doodnauth of Musgrave Street, Ponds Pasture was travelling along the Frigate Bay Road in motor vehicle PA7847 close to 1:00 p.m. when he encountered some difficulty.
It is further understood that Doodnauth was travelling from Frigate Bay’s direction to that of Basseterre with one vehicle in front of him. And while in the vicinity of the road that leads to Earl Mourne, he struck a lamppost on the mountain side of the road and he could not recall what next transpired.
SKNVibes has however been informed that after hitting and felling the post, the vehicle flipped and deposited within a nearby shrubbery.
While the vehicle was badly damaged, Doodnauth reportedly did not complain of any injuries and opted not to go to the hospital for examination and or treatment.
Police are making investigations into the incident.
