BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 10th 2013 - In a brief ceremony held on July 8, the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Limited presented a cheque for $6,500.00 to the Nevis Culturama Committee. This amount represents the Bank’s sponsorship of a contestant, Ms. Kentisha Daley, for the upcoming Miss Culture Queen Pageant to be held in Nevis on August 4.
In presenting the cheque Sabina Vaughan said that the Bank was pleased to partner with the Committee to make the Festival a reality. “Culturama ranks one of the highest on Nevis’ yearly Calendar of Events and we are aware that the Miss Culture Queen Pageant is one of the most anticipated segments of the Festival. We are confident that our contestant, Kentisha Daley, will do us proud and we look forward to a successful, incident-free celebration.”
Speaking on behalf of the Festival Committee, Mr. Antonio Liburd expressed thanks to National for its willingness to sponsor the Festival once again. He noted the more than 20 year relationship that existed between the Bank and the Culturama Festival. “We applaud the Bank’s efforts over the years to keep culture alive on the island of Nevis” said Mr. Liburd.
Ms. Daley is a 23 year-old, whose career goal is to become a medical doctor. At the completion of her studies at the Nevis 6th Form College she earned an Associate’s Degree in Natural Sciences.
