Best has revised the outlook of Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company Ltd (CAIC) from stable to positive and affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent).
The article dated 02 July 2013 further states that the ratings reflect CAIC’s excellent risk-adjusted capitalization, conservative management philosophy and historically profitable operating results. It notes that the CAIC’s profitable return metrics places it among the top of its Caribbean peers and its positive outlook reflects its solidmarket profile and its management’s ability to maintain effective risk management procedures and a comprehensive reinsurance programme. There are only two other insurance companies in the Caribbean that also hold this rating.
