The Rotaract Club of St. Kitts installs new Executive

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 15th 2013 - The Rotaract Club of St. Kitts celebrated its 27th anniversary on Monday 1st July 2013.  The club was chatered on July 1st 1986, by its sponsor club, The Rotary Club of St.Kitts. 

     

    This event was commemorated with the club's Annual Executive Installation and Dinner at the Ocean Terrace Inn, where four (4) young professionals took over the leadership of the Community based Organization.

     

    Rotaractors Kristin Greaux (President), Castin Stokes (Vice President), Travia Tyson (General Secretary), and Tian Arthurton (Treasurer) were officially pinned by Dr. Louisa Lawrence incoming President of The Rotary Club of St.Kitts.

     

    In giving remarks, Outgoing President Janella Rouse highlighted the achievements over the past year and thanked the general membership for their unwavering support and encouraged them to live by the ideals established over two decades ago.

     

    President Kristin Greaux, after accepting the mandate from the general membership addressed the gathering (that also included Archdeacon Valentine Hodge, incoming president of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and guests) and pledged to continue to work with her team to make a difference in the lives of others. She promises to spread this years' District 7030 theme throughout the community as we feel "I.R.I.E" while we "Renew! Innovate! Evolve! ..... as we take pride in the service we provide."

     

    In the true spirit of fellowship, immediately following the ceremonial duties, the incoming Rotary Club presidents in their respective presentations offered words of congratulations and jointly pledged their commitment to work with the board to achieve success through meaningful partnership in the 2013/14 year.

     

    Accolades were presented to Past President Nichole Liburd for her long service and commitment to the club and to one of the newest members of the club, Rotaractor Travia Tyson for her invaluable contribution towards the club. Past President of the Rotary Club of St.Kitts, Ms. Betty Ann Gilbert was also presented with a token  for her much appreciated dedication and assistance towards the club.

     

    The curtains came down with the "President's Suprise", where incoming president Kristin Greaux presented the Anniversary cake, which bore the number 27, the Rotaract logo and trademark gold and red colours.

     

    The Rotarct Club of St.Kitts wishes to extend a heartflet thanks to everyone who has supported them throughout the past twenty seven (27) years and looks forward to the continued partnership and support as we dedicate ourselves through service to the community.
