An American with strong roots in St. Kitts-Nevis made a donation to the Douglas Estate community at St. Peter’s

Press Release

July 15th, 2013   --   Anthony L. Wyre, a geo-spatial engineer, is the son of retired United States Air Force Major St. Clair Wyre of Rosemary Lane, and Attorney Myrtle Mills Wyre of The Village.

During a visit with his mother, Anthony learned that the young residents of Douglas Estate were playing football bare-footed, and decided to do something to provide them with proper footwear.

In collaboration with his mother, Anthony procured twenty-four (24) brand-new pairs of Adidas F10 TRX/Nike/Riddell and Fila football boots, along with shin-guards and balls for the Douglas Estate youth.

Shipping costs to St. Kitts were paid by Anthony’s aunt, microbiologist Patricia Mills Davis, and her husband, Morris Davis, a Philadelphia-based business executive.

Anthony, who has been playing football/soccer since he was three (3) years old, has been a continuous visitor to the Federation from age three (3) months.  He hopes to meet with the Douglas Estate footballers on his next visit to St. Kitts.
