Basseterre, St.Kitts (July 18th 2013) -- People’s Action Movement Leader Hon.. Shawn K. Richards and Deputy Leader Jonel Powell will be heading to Miami this Friday July 19th to meet with St.Kitts-Nevis Nationals there.
The meeting will be the final stop of a PAM UNITY North American Tour which saw the PAM Leaders at hugely successful meetings in the Bronx, New York and Toronto, Canada. They have been able to meet hundreds of Nationals who have expressed views and concerns about the State of Affairs in their homeland.
Richards and Powell gave nationals in New York and Toronto an update on the current issues of the day in the federation including and most significantly the Motion of No Confidence and the proposed Boundary Changes. They also announced and highlighted key programmes and policies to be pursued by the historic government of National Unity including a reduction of the fuel surcharge and the removal of the customs service charge.
It is expected that Hon. Richards would give some details on the announced economic relief plan that the UNITY government will be pursuing. He will also use the opportunity to inform and educate nationals further on the government of national UNITY and the historic partnership between 3 of the 5 major political parties in the federation including PAM , CCM and the newly formed PLP.
