    Mysterious death under investigation

~~Adz:Right~~ROSEAU, Dominica-POLICE officials revealed yesterday (Dec. 4) that they are investigating the death of a Wesley man whose body was discovered lying in a ditch near his home around 4:30 pm.

The man was quickly identified as McDonald Joseph, a forty-year-old construction worker and farmer who lived near to the Bottom Wesley area where he was discovered.

According to Dominica News Online, Joseph, who was seen as a quiet member of his community, had suffered wounds to his head and feet.

“That is just on the heels of a similar murder less than a year ago and so the whole atmosphere is one of weeping, mourning and people sobbing around. It's just something we can't comprehend at this time.

“He was a very humble man... he's not a guy who is in trouble or so to say he would have been involved in any altercation,” Chairman of the Wesley Village Council Julien Jeremie said in an interview shortly after Joseph’s body was discovered.

Friends and family members had similar sentiments, calling Joseph’s murder a “wicked act” against an innocent man who was very friendly.

Police officials said that no suspects are in custody at this time, though investigations remain on-going.
