    Primary-schoolers to receive World School-children Art awards

     


    ~~Adz:Right~~BASSETERRE; St. Kitts - Two Irish Town Primary School students, Kayla Williams and Levon Liburd received bronze and selected awards respectively from the 39th World Schoolchildren's Art Exhibition, which was held in Taiwan. In honor of the outstanding achievements of the two deserving students, an awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday 9th December, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Irish Town Primary School (in the conference hall).

     

    The 39th World Schoolchildren's Art Exhibition, organized by National Taiwan Arts Education Center, the Association for Education through Art, and the Association of Formative Art Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan), was designed to encourage and forge mutual friendship among the younger generation throughout the world through art exchanges.
    There were over 800 art works from the 56 countries that participated in the event this year.

     

    The Exhibition was held from 6th - 25th September 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan. The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis participated for the first time and was successful with their selections.
