ROADTOW Tortola BVI, August 1st, 2013 -- Reigning 2013 British Virgin Islands (BVI) Calypso Monarch Joycelyn Searles also known as Sistah Joyce, presented on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 her winning 2013 Calypso Monarch Trophy and Best Musical Arrangement Trophy to the recording team Ramon George (Head Producer), Kevin Sweeney, Courtney Meade, Akeem Richardson and Kenvil Pope at Her Majesty’s Prison.
Sistah Joyce extends appreciation to this recording team for their exceptional and hard work which contributed to her capturing the title of 2013 Calypso Monarch for the BVI Emancipation Celebrations.
Sistah Joyce is the first calypsonian to capture both titles for Calypso Monarch for the Virgin Gorda Easter Celebrations and the BVI Emancipation Celebrations in the same year.
