August 9th, 2013 -- The Advancement of Children Foundation (ACF) will be hosting an awareness seminar in an effort to (i) promote and educate various community groups of its purpose and (ii) provide guidance on preparing applications for eligible projects. The event will take place on Thursday, 22 August 2013 at the Marriott Resort at 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
The ACF was established in 2008, to counteract the trend of rising violence and antisocial behavior amongst our youth through the promotion of good parenting, family and social values. The ACF was founded by the Rotary Clubs of St. Kitts and Liamuiga. The ACF’s goal is to be a catalyst for positive change and to establish a coalition of public, civic and private sector organisation to counteract negative trends in our society. The ACF is supported by its major sponsors – Christophe Harbour, LIME, St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Rotary Club of St. Kitts, St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, TDC.
In this regard, the ACF is extending an invitation to all Community organisations to participate in this very important seminar.
The agenda items are as follows:
• History and formation of the ACF
• Existing Projects funded by the ACF
• Eligibility of projects funded by the ACF
• How to apply for assistance from the ACF
• Example of an acceptable application form for a project
We encourage groups to come to this event and help the Foundation realise its Vision.
