BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 27TH 2005 A US$10 million renovation for Nevis Four Seasons the Caribbean's first AAA Five Diamond property.
General Manager Mr. Martin Sinclair said the renovation program will begin late August and will include a new pool and waterfront dining venue, as well as refurbishments to its two luxury suites and nearly half of its guest rooms. The new developments are slated for completion by the end of the year.
Along with Four Seasons' commitment to service, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of facilities to suit the evolving needs of our guests. We are excited to offer a new and expanded product while preserving the heritage and natural beauty of the resort, said Sinclair in a news release issued by the companys New York-based Director of Public Relations, Tara MacIntyre.
She said the enhancements, which will take place over a period of three to four months, will occur with minimal impact to the existing facilities and guest experience. The highlights include a new free-form pool and beachside restaurant with views of the Caribbean Sea. The pool will be located on the south side of the property and will complement the resort's two existing pools: the Garden Pool, designed for relaxation and Ocean Pool, which caters to families.
The new 120-seat restaurant named Mango will be located within a short stroll up Pinney's Beach, north of the 18th green of the golf course. Just steps above the gentle waves, it will feature casual, open-air dining with a menu of grilled specialties highlighting local flavors including the Caribbean Spiny Lobster. Guests will also enjoy a cozy bar and lounge area with generous views across the narrows of Nevis' sister island of St. Kitts, said MacIntyre.
She said the renovations will comprise new decor for the resort's two luxury suites, the Hamilton Suite and Nelson Suite, and soft refurbishments to those second floor guest rooms facing the ocean.
Designed by Wilson & Associates of Dallas, room interiors will be tastefully appointed with island-inspired furnishings and fabrics that combine the relaxed ease of the West Indies with hints of its rich Colonial past. Soothing Caribbean color hues will serve as a backdrop for spacious marble bathrooms, hand woven rugs and local artwork.
Four Seasons Nevis will celebrate its 15th Anniversary on February 14, 2006. For reservations or information, please visit www.fourseasons.com/nevis, or call 800-332-3442.
