BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WITH the elimination of Rams Village Superstars, three clubs will go into battle tomorrow evening (Aug. 14) to secure wins in order to be one of two teams to compete for the title of 2013 Champions of the SKNFA Digicel Premier League.
Tomorrow evening marks the final two games to be played amongst the football clubs that had progressed to the Final Four Playoffs. The clubs are Conaree FC, S.L. Horsford’s St. Paul’s, Rams Village Superstars and Hobson Enterprise Garden Hotspurs.
However, although Village Superstars will be pitted against Hotspurs, they cannot make it to the Final Two due to suffering defeats in their two opening games. But, Hotspurs, with two points, must win in order to secure a place in the Finals.
On the other hand, St. Paul’s and Conaree, both with four points, will be happy to know that Village Superstars gain victory over Hotspurs.
Should this be a reality, it means that Hotspurs will remain on two points and, even if St. Paul’s or Conaree lose their match, Hotspurs will be eliminated because one of the two would have gained an additional three points.
But, then again, if either of the two four-point teams loses and Hotspurs gain victory over Village, it means that Hotspurs would have a total of five points and automatically earn a place in the Finals.
Therefore, football fans and pundits are in for a treat tomorrow at the Silver Jubilee Stadium, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Ticket prices start at $10 for Grounds, $15 for Bleachers and $20 for Stands. Season passes are also available at $80 for Bleachers and $100 for Stands
The best-of-three Finals are set for August 17, 21 and 24.
