BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST two days after the burial of shooting victim Travon ‘Woxy’ Francis, another youth was gunned down in Cayon.

Dead is Randy ‘Robby’ Scott of Shanty Town, Cunningham Village, Lower Cayon, who shortly before 6:00 this morning was gunned down in his backyard while on his way to work as a street cleaner. He is said to be in his early thirties.

Responding to the information provided by an individual through SKNVibes’ new service “Text Breaking News”, reporters of this media house arrived at the crime scene and observed Scott’s body lying on the ground, face down, in a pool of blood.

Under the condition of anonymity, one resident told SKNVibes that shortly before 6 a.m. he heard the reports of five gunshots in the general area of Cunningham Village and, “on checking I saw two hooded men with guns in Robby’s yard”.

The resident further stated that one of the gunmen ran from the rear of Scott’s residence onto the island’s Main Road and into a waiting car. He also stated that the second gunman ran up a ghaut and exited the area in the vicinity of Cayon Primary School.

“I was scared and didn’t want the gunmen to see me. But I saw when one of them run and jump into a car that was parked on the Main Road. I try hard to see if I could recognise who the men was, but the hoods they were wearing prevented me from seeing their faces,” the resident said.

The resident also said it was believed that the second gunman had joined his accomplice after the car had driven further along the road and stopped not far from the street that leads to Cayon Primary School.~~Adz:Right~~

Asked if he had recorded the vehicle’s license number, the resident responded in the negative, noting he could not have seen it from the position where he was in hiding.

He was also positive that Scott’s shooting death was not related to the recent shooting incident in which Travon ‘Woxy’ Francis and Desroy ‘Shootout’ Walwyn died.

“This is a contract killing! It has nothing to do with the two men who died by Henry’s Night Spot and those who were charged for the offences…nothing whatsoever to do with revenge! Robby was a witness to a shooting incident that happened sometime in the past and he was supposed to give evidence in court in the near future. The person involved in that incident is presently in Her Majesty’s Prison,” the resident stressed.

Randy ‘Robby’ Scott’s death brings to 23 the total number of homicides committed in the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for the year. Police are investigating.
