CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – Regionally-renowned real estate developer, Deon Daniel’s  Nelson Spring Beach Villas and Spa is the newest high-end addition to the Nevis tourism product after last Saturday’s (Dec. 13) official opening of Phase One of the multi-faceted project.

Named in honour of British Admiral Lord Horatio, the villa complex consists of 8 buildings housing 56 rooms. The fully-furnished villas consist of one, two, three and four bedroom units and are equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and accessories.

The villas are aesthetically and logistically appealing, offering stunning views of the aligning Caribbean Sea and Nevis Peak.

The villa complex also features a fitness centre, pool cabana restaurant and a tennis court, and boasts its world-class spa, Spa Nevis

In his featured address, Premier of Nevis and Minister of Tourism Hon. Joseph Parry commended Daniel for his vision and wise choices and opined that the new development project is a “sterling example to the people of Nevis that hard work and determination pay off in the long run”.

~~Adz:Left~~“I’m proud because I have always felt that we need to have Nevisians in the tourism industry. We have had locals involved in tourism but they did not have the strong links with the outside world. But Deon has been smart, wise and you have been fortunate.

You have done the right thing; not only have you built a first-class property but you have also organized a first-class organization with international connections to bring the people here.

“I believe that this venture will be very successful and be one of the likes in the hotel industry on the island. I must say that this opening is coming at the right time because we have had the closure of the Four Seasons and this will be offering many locals jobs,” he told the large gathering of government officials, major Caribbean developers and property owners who witnessed the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Parry said although the island is facing difficult times with the economic recession in the US, Nevis has chosen up-market investments which are expected to yield great results and allow projects to grow from strength to strength.

He also stated that as the island weathers challenging economic times, British Airways, LIAT and WinAir have provided open access to the island.

Daniel told SKNVibes he “was pleased everything had worked out” and revealed that the second phase of the development project is scheduled to begin in January 2009.
