BASSETERRE, St.Kitts, August 20th 2013 - The St.Kitts main opposition People’s Action Movement will be staging a series of activities and events to commemorate the Federation’s 30th Anniversary of Independence.
The series of events will include Public and Townhall Meetings, Rallies and other activities such as picnics, fun day, heroes walk-a-thon, church service and more.
The Independence 30 activities Kicks off This Thursday August 22nd with a massive event dubbed the “WARRIORS RALLY” . The rally is being held in Pond’s Pasture and organized by Ian “Patches” Liburd and the Warriors from the East PAM East Basseterre Constituency Group. A packed exciting rally is being planned which will feature endorsements of the popular candidate and radio talk show host Liburd by a number of well known residents and constituents of East Basseterre. The Rally will be carried live on WINN FM and one of the top local bands and dj is expected to provide the entertainment.
The “WARRIORS RALLY” will be followed by a Midday public Meeting the following day on Friday 23rd at the Industrial Site and on Saturday Morning at 7am at the Public Market.

- THURSDAY September 12 - Constituency # 5, Sandy Point 8pm .
- MONDAY September 16 - Independence Walk 6.00 am - Sandy Point to Basseterre.
- MONDAY September 16 – UNITY Beachnic at Frigate Bay from 12.00 noon
- WEDNESDAY September 18 - PAM INDEPENDENCE BALL, St.Kitts Marriott
- SATURDAY September 21 - Constituency # 4 Green Tree Homegrown Food Festival/Fun Day 10am until
- SUNDAY September 22 - Service of Thanksgiving Zion Moravian Church 9.30 am.
St.Kitts-Nevis was led into Independence by the Rt. Hon Dr Sir Kennedy A Simmonds led PAM/NRP administration in 1983 despite vehement opposition from the St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party SKNLP led by the Late Sir Lee L Moore.
