BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN spite of the herculean efforts made by the parents of Harzaney Marshall, the 17-month-old passed away.
SKNVibes contacted the toddler's distraught mother, Sharilan Hendrickson, who, although unable to provide further details, confirmed that the child had indeed died.
The toddler was diagnosed with a kidney tumour in May of this year (2013).
Hendrickson, in a previous interview with this publication, said that she had taken the toddler to the hospital after realising that he had a swollen side and he was also "fussy".
Following an X-ray, an Ultra Sound procedure as well as a CT scan, it was learned that little Marshall had a tumour on his left kidney which would have resulted in him having to be flown to a hospital in Virginia, USA for urgent medical attention.
On May 25 a successful carwash was held in an effort to raise funds for Marshall to travel to the United States.
It was organised by the St. Thomas Trinity Strikers Football Club and was conducted on the Green Tree lawn in Verchild’s Village.
SKNVibes offers its condolences to the parents and family members of little Harzaney. May the Lord be with them at this time of their bereavement.
