BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A young man is currently nursing stab wounds at the Joseph N. France General Hospital following a domestic altercation which occurred at Bird Rock last evening (Aug. 23).
According to an eyewitness account, the incident occurred sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. with the victim’s mother allegedly being attacked by her ex-husband.
SKNVibes understands that the woman’s son made an attempt to intervene and was wounded by the attacker.
It was also reported that it appeared as though the perpetrator was intent on committing a murder with him being armed with two knives and a bottle, which is believed to have been filled with an alcoholic beverage.
The witness also disclosed that the assailant consumed the contents of the bottle before launching an attack on the woman.
It was also reported that following the incident, the kitchen of the home was splattered with blood and the assailant left the scene bleeding.
SKNVibes understands that police officers were on scene this morning investigating the matter.
However, calls made to the Police Force’s Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David were unsuccessful.
