BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RUMOURS are rife that a member of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) had to seek medical attention and was subsequently warded at the Joseph N. France General Hospital after being chopped by a colleague.
SKNVibes understands that Eric Thompson, who is attached to the Coast Guard, was recently discharged from the hospital having received treatment for a wound to his arm and other parts of his body.
Information received by this media house states that the incident occurred sometime on Thursday, December 11, 2008, reportedly at their place of employment. No information concerning the cause of the altercation was released; however, this media house learned that Thompson’s co-worker struck him a number of times with a machete.
SKNVibes contacted the Defence Force with the hope of speaking with Lieutenant Keyode Sutton, the institution’s Public Affairs Officer, but was informed that he was unavailable. However, a conversation was afforded with the Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Wallace.
Colonel Wallace was told of the rumours, and when asked for a comment declined to provide any on whether or not the incident transpired. ~~Adz:Right~~
