BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 2nd 2013 (SKNIS) - A new animated series has been launched to commemorate the 30th anniversary of nationhood for St. Kitts and Nevis.

The short features, created by the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS), provides historical information about the national symbols of the twin-island Federation including the national flag, national anthem, coat of arms, national wear and more.

“These videos are informative and entertaining,” explained government’s Director of Communication Grell Browne. “Each episode has its own particular feel and we are certain that the short videos will be enjoyed by children and adults.”

Mr. Browne expressed confidence that students who have independence-related projects to complete will find the series useful and encouraged them to log on to SKNIS’ Facebook page to view the videos. The animated episodes can also be accessed from the department’s official YouTube channel “TheSKNIS.”
