BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 6th, 2013 (CUOPM) – The Integrity in Public Life Bill is among six pieces of legislation which will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis meets on Monday 9th September.
The Integrity in Public Life Bill, which had its first reading in the lawmaking body on November 31st 2012, was down for debate during a sitting of the Assembly on the 8th of July 2013, but was withdrawn in the absence of the opposition parliamentarians.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, Labour, Justice and Legal Affairs, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett will pilot the Integrity in Public Life Bill during the debate.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Sustainable Development, Human Resource, Defence and Police, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, will introduce and pilot through all three stages, The Saint Christopher and Nevis Mutual Exchange of Information on Taxation Matters (Amendment) Bill, 2013, The Procurement and Contract (Administration) (Amendment) Bill, 2013 and The National Emblems and National Anthem Bill, 2013.
The Hon. Patrice Nisbett will also pilot through all three stages, The Doexyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Bill, 2013 and The Evidence (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
