Bus driver shot in Canada Estate

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - REPORTS reaching SKNVibes state that a male resident of St. Peter’s was shot last night (Sept. 9) while attending to his cattle in Canada Estate.

     

    His name was given as Romain Tota, also known as Stormy, and is said to operate a passenger bus that plys the St. Peter’s/Basseterre route.

    The incident is said to have taken place shortly after 8:00 p.m. while he was leaving the area.

    Reports also indicate that he was shot in the shoulder and is currently warded at the JNF General Hospital.

    SKNVibes contacted the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David, who confirmed that someone was indeed shot but he did not provide details on the incident.

    “What I can confirm right now is that someone was shot last night but I cannot give any further details as yet.”
