BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Police Traffic Department is investigating a three-vehicle accident that occurred yesterday afternoon (Sept. 14) on the Bay Road in the vicinity of the Post Office.
According to information gleaned from Sergeant Calvin Amory of the Traffic Department, at approximately 4:00 p.m. yesterday, a Mercedes-Benz (P6115) driven by Angel Omuohu of Bird Rock was travelling west on the Bay Road when she lost control and collided with P6262 owned by Lorraine Wilkin of Bladens and P6265 owned by Sylvester Herbert of Shadwell.
Both vehicles, P6262 and P6265, were parked on the seaside of the road during the incident.
This media house learnt that after the Mercedes-Benz had collided with P6262, it flipped on its side and remained stationary in the middle of the road, while the impact propelled P6262 into P6265 that was parked ahead of it.
The parked vehicles had minor damage while Omuohu’s vehicle was extensively damaged.
Amory also disclosed that Omuohu was taken to the JNF General Hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and discharged.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
