BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 15th 2013 (CUOPM) – A ceremony to name the National Bank Building in honour of the former Managing Director and Founder of the Bank, Sir Edmund Lawrence is set to take place next week.
According to a Bank official, the official naming ceremony of the National Bank building which is located on the Corner of Central Street and West Independence Square will be held on September 17, 2013 at 5:00 PM.
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Linkon Maynard, will officially designate the building the “Sir Edmund Lawrence Building” in honour of Sir Edmund, who retired on December 31, 2012.
Sir Edmund became the Federation’s Third Governor General on January 2nd 2013.
