BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - KAJOLA KRISTADA has announced that for the first time in the history of the company’s Employee of the Month Award a supervisor has won the prestigious title.
For the month of August 2013, Populating Line Leader Enid Smith was declared winner.
A shy Smith, in an interview with this publication, said she was very much surprised when she was told that she had won and exclaimed, “I did not expect it!”
Smith said she was happy that she received the award, as it was her first time winning having been working with the company since 1999.
Smith's Supervisor Beulah Sutton-Belle described her as a hard worker who is dedicated to the job. She said Smith is one who goes over and beyond the call of duty.
Sutton-Belle explained that the company made the decision to put a twist on the usual Employee of the Month for this year (2013).
She said that Supervisors and Line Leaders in every department are now included in the running for this award.
Kajola Kristada's Employee of the Month was established some five years ago in an effort to ensure that the employees are recognised and duly awarded for their hard work and dedication.
Each Employee of the Month is chosen based on the person's knowledge of the job, quality, attire, versatility, punctuality, attendance and team building.
