BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 6TH 2005 One of the Federations leading musical arranger, trumpeter and composer is giving thumbs up to the just concluded 9th St. Kitts Music Festival.
Kittitian Kenrick Georges, composer of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Anthem said the four-day Music Festival can be compared to similar events he has participated in around the world.

Georges  and The Sugar Mill Bits & Pieces, performed at the Music Festival last month.

I must convey sincere thanks and gratitude for affording us the envied opportunity to perform on the 9th Annual St. Kitts Music Fest.  I am truly grateful and could never be more pleased that you articulated your satisfaction with the level of proficiency with which the band performed on Saturday 25th, 2005, said Georges in a letter to St. Kitts and Nevis Minister of State for Tourism, Sports and Culture, Sen. the Hon. Richard Skerritt.

Georges said: The ministry, the relative committees, organizers and support groups must be highly commended for their magnificent work, planning and executing at such a high standard. The liaison officers were exceptionally outstanding, particularly, Jervin Liburd and Teressa Nisbett who were assigned to The Bits & Pieces.

He added: Considering all things, I have performed in music festivals the world over and the 9th Annual St. Kitts Music Fest is comparable to music festivals anywhere in the world. That being said, I am looking forward an even more impressive 10th anniversary.

According to Georges, who is based in New York, every member of my group was extremely happy with their accommodation and in fact, all aspects of their stay in St. Kitts. They all had nothing but high praises for your efforts and the country.

Personally, I must enunciate my heart-felt thanks to you and St. Kitts and hope that you will not hesitate to enlist my services and expertise, when the need arise, said Georges, Leader and Director in his letter to Minister Skerritt, a copy of which was released Wednesday afternoon.
