BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SOL EC LIMITED has rewarded its service stations for their commitment to courteously and professionally serving the many customers who chose to refill their tanks with gasoline or diesel.
Four service stations in St. Kitts on Monday (Sept. 30) were awarded cheques compliments SOL EC Limited.
The four service stations are West Side Service Station, which placed first and received US$1 750; SL Horsford's Service Station placed second and received US$1 400; Central Service Station placed third and was awarded US$1 050; and Frisco Service Station, which placed fourth and was awarded US$875.
SOL's Sales Representative Kandia Warner said that the company has a programme implemented throughout the region called SOL Excellence Programme in which they monitor the customer service techniques at each of their outlets and rank and award them quarterly, based on certain criteria.
Warner said all the stations throughout the region compete against each other.
The criteria, she said, include Health and Safety Environment (HSE) standard, cleanliness of the service station, general customer service and bathroom cleanliness.
Warner said that the period for which the service stations have been awarded was April to June 2013 and noted that all local stations were winners for that quarter.
She went on to state that B's Enterprises Service Station, located in Sandy Point, was also rewarded although it did not place in the top four. They were rewarded with a US$500 cheque.
"Even though B's Enterprises did not place, we rewarded them locally as a local incentive, because they received a 100 percent score but they still did not make it into the top four. And so we decided to reward them for their hard work and effort," she explained.
Warner said that the Excellence Programme initiative was implemented at the inception of the business, but the name was changed in 2011 when the company was renamed SOL EC Limited.
