Oualie Bay, Nevis, October 2nd, 2013 -- The Nevis Yacht Club’s 19th October 25th Over the past 18 years, we have had participating boats from Antigua, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Nevis, Saba, Statia, St Barths, St Croix, St Kitts, St Maarten / St Martin and St Thomas.
Friday afternoon, a mass clearance is conducted at the Tournament Headquarters in Oualie Bay, for all overseas competitors. Registration for the tournament begins at 4PM with the Captain’s Briefing and other announcements commencing at 6PM.
Saturday is an early start for the fishermen, with some leaving the dock at 2AM to reach their favourite fishing grounds by 5AM, which is the time for the lines to go in the water.
All boats must return to Oualie Bay by 3:30PM with their catch for weigh-in. The qualifying species, which must weigh 10 lbs. or more are – Wahoo, Tuna, Kingfish and Dolphin. Any undersized or mutilated fish will be disqualified. Bill Fish are Catch and Release only.
Prize giving is at 6:30PM Saturday evening, with prizes for the following categories:
Champion Boat – most weight of all qualifying fish
Champion Boat – under 25’
2nd Place Boat
Largest Wahoo
Largest Kingfish
Largest Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi)
Largest Tuna
Female Angler – largest fish
Junior Angler – under 16 – largest fish
We anticipate another exciting year of great competition and friends, old and new, joining together for a great weekend on Nevis.

- Box lunches available to purchase for anglers on Friday night.
- Free coffee from 2am Saturday
