The Hon. Julian Fraser/Save the Seed basketball league to host a massive family fun night that includes, cash prizes, giveaways and much more at Save the Seed Energy Centre
Duff’s Bottom, Tortola, BVI, October 4th, 2013 -- This Saturday October 5, 2013 will be a big night for the Hon. Julian Fraser/Save the Seed National Intermediate Basketball League, as the long anticipated All Star games will take place.
The event will kick off from 5:00 PM at the Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom on the main island of Tortola. While there will be no regular games on Friday 4, and Sunday 6, October 2013 one cannot miss Saturday night’s family fun event.
The All Star games, hosted under the patronage of Third District Representative Honourable Julian Fraser, RA and Bishop John I. Cline, founder of the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom are seen as a break as the basketball league advanced to the playoffs, leading up to the Championship games which starts on October 12, 2013 and will end on November 3, 2013.
The fun night this Saturday will see over-30 plus year ‘old time’ players from around the Virgin Islands in an exhibition game, a slam dunk contest along with all star players from the 9-12 and the Men’s divisions competing for many prizes.
Many of the Hon Julian Fraser/Save the Seed sponsors of the basketball league will also be on hand, including telecommunications giant, Digicel, with many giveaway items.
Entrance fee for Saturday All star games is $1.00!
The Hon. Julian Fraser/Save the Seed National Intermediate Basketball League is sponsored by Digicel (BVI), National Bank of the Virgin Islands, Sol (BVI), Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Honourable Archibald C. All Star Games Schedule for Saturday October 5, 2013:
5:00 pm - 9-12 yrs All Star Game
6:30 pm - Men's 3 Point Shoot Out
7:30 pm - Old School Players Game (over 30 plus years)
9:00 pm - Men's Slam Dunk
9:30 pm - Men's All Star Game
Registration for shoot out and slam dunk is $5.00 per person. Fans are also allowed to sponsor players.
