BASSETERRE St. Kitts, October 8th, 2013 -- The National Carnival Committee is pleased to announce that submissions for a SLOGAN and a JINGLE to be used for National Carnival 2013 - 2014 are currently being accepted at the Tourism Events Unit located in the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, Building 3/4, Port Zante, or at Unit C3, The Sands Complex, Bay Road, on behalf of the Committee.
Slogan entries must be between 4 to 8 words and both Slogan and Jingle entries should reflect the festive atmosphere and spirit of Christmas and Carnival. The Slogan and Jingle should be creative, concise and catchy, capturing the rhythmic flavor of our culture.
Deadline for submission is Friday 18th October 2013.
The winner of the Slogan Competition will receive a cash prize of $500.00 plus two (2) Passes to National Carnival official shows held during the Carnival Season.
The winner of the Jingle Competition will receive a cash prize of $1,500.00.
The winning entries will be announced at the Grand Launch of National Carnival.

The National Carnival Committee has also announced the opening of registration for the various activities and disciplines for Sugar Mas 42.
Junior and senior calypsonians, soca monarch artistes, j’ouvert and mas troupes, individual mas players, bands, dee jays, street vendors, and all others who wish to participate in the various activities and competitions being organized by the National Carnival Committee are urged to submit their applications without delay.
Applications can be collected from Ms. Donna Morton at the Tourism Events Unit located in the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, Building 3/4, Port Zante, or from the Carnival Secretariat which is temporarily located at Unit C3, The Sands Complex, Bay Road, Basseterre.
