Basseterre, Oct 1st, 2013 -- For the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, Coca-Cola is creating the world’s most inclusive, participatory experiential event ever. The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will give more than one million people the chance to experience the FIFA World Cup Trophy™ in their own communities.
This is the largest and longest global tour of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy. Visiting 88 countries during an nine month journey, the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will be the first ever pan-Latin America tour, with events in 39 countries across the region that is home to the host nation, Brazil. The tour will also be visiting 50 new countries that have never had the opportunity to host the trophy.
The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy will fly from country to country on a specially chartered Coca-Cola plane and we would like to invite you to the RLB Int’l Airport at 8:00am and experience this once in a lifetime event first hand!
During this Airport Arrival Ceremony, the Governor General, Prime Minister, Minister of Sports, and Minister of Tourism along with specially invited members of the media will be invited on board the specially charter aircraft for a “First Look” of the onboard media centre. Following this “First Look”, Press Conference will be convened in the VIP Lounge followed by a brief question and answer session.
Following the Airport Arrival Ceremony, several other activities are planned inclusive of a Football Festival hosted by the St. Kitts (Nevis) Football Association; and an evening Gala Event at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
