    Ahead of Saturday's monthly Health and Wellness Walk, PM urges nation to stay healthy
     

    St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas well ahead of the pack

     

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 2009 (CUOPM) – A few days ahead of his monthly Health and Wellness Walk in his Constituency, St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is urging all nationals in the twin-island Federation to take measures to stay healthy.
     
    “You must exercise daily. Watch what you eat. I have warned in the past that high blood pressure (and) diabetes are preventable diseases in most cases. Be healthy,” advised the Prime Minister during his “Ask the Prime Minister” radio programme on Tuesday.
     
    Prime Minister Douglas, organises a monthly “Health and Wellness Walk” in the area that he represents in the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly.

     

    He joins scores of constituents of all ages this coming Saturday at 6:00 A.M. starting from the lawn in Saddlers and walking the six and a half-mile journey to Newton Ground, ending at the Newton Ground Primary School.

    Transportation will leave the Newton Ground Primary School at 5:30 A.M. and an invitation is extended to all constituents as well as persons residing in other areas of St. Kitts and Nevis to participate in the Health and Wellness Walk on Saturday.

    Several  young persons are regular walkers on the PM monthly Health and Wellnesswalk

     


     
    Participants usually enjoy a healthy breakfast at the end of the walk. On this occasion a source said, prizes would be won.
