BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Minister with responsibility for Sports and Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Four, Hon. Glenn 'Ghost' Phillip has made a hefty promise to the residents who live in that area.
He made the promise while delivering his address at Party a Labour political platform last evening (Oct. 17) which was held in West Basseterre in a parking lot opposite the Best Buy Supermarket.
Phillip promised the people that he represents the construction of over 100 houses before the calling of the next general Elections.
"I am promising the people of Constituency Four right now that over 100 houses will be constructed before these elections are called or whenever the elections are called."
The Sports Minister, who has been representing the people of Constituency Four for just three years, said that he has already overseen the construction of many homes in his district.
"Since I have been here, we have built close to 70 houses in Constituency number four."
He went on to tell the large gathering that his team has recently renovated the Halfway Tree Community Centre and has given Verchild’s playfield a facelift.
Phillip declared that the West Indies Cricket Board had sent him a letter commending the work done on the Verchild’s playfield, as they dubbed it the best in St. Kitts and Nevis.
"As a matter of fact, the West Indies Under-19 Cricket Team played at the Verchild’s Playing Field and I just received a letter from the West Indies Cricket Board stating that that is one of the best fields in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis."
He added that each community centre in Constituency Four has Wi Fi access while promising the people that he would be doing a lot more for the communities in the near future.
Phillip ensured that both he and the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party have been working and would continue to work hard for the people of the Federation.
