BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FORMER Leader of the Peoples’ Action Movement (PAM) and candidate for Constituency Number Four, Lindsay Grant has proclaimed that regardless of tricks from the current administration the people in the Federation want a change.
Speaking this morning on Sugar City FM’s Changing Times, Grant publicly stated that the government could not stop the power of the people.
“I don’t care what they do, they can’t stop the power of the people because this election is people power. This election, the people want a change.”
He added that no amount of conjuring from the government could stop the change, because the people would speak.
“The people have decided they don’t want a change to PAM, they don’t want a change to PLP you know, they want a change to the Unity Team. Something fresh, something new and that is why no amount of manipulation of the list, no amount of change of boundaries can stop the force and the will of the people...because the people will speak.”
Grant further spoke about the Labour supporters who have jumped on the Unity bandwagon and welcomed all to embrace the Unity Concept.
“You know the hundreds of Labour supporters who have moved from the Denzil Labour Party to the Unity Team. If you go around town right now you will hear ‘family’. That’s a catchword and people feel a part of the family and that is what we want people to be.
“The Unity tent is big, it is broad, it can accommodate all who want to come. No one party or no one person has the monopoly on the ideas, and that is why we say it is up to the people.”
