‘Sewage’ Halloween 6 takes place tonight at 17 Degrees

By: Precious Mills, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - PARTYGOERS are reminded that the Sixth Annual Halloween Party promoted by Big Drew Productions is set to take place tonight (Oct. 31) at 17 Degrees under the theme ‘Sewage’.

Music will be provided by Unstoppable Chalice Sounds, Sister Sensia, Firehouse Sounds and Nu Vybes Band International (De Sugar Band).

Yesterday afternoon (Oct. 31), coincidentally on Halloween Day, SKNVibes caught up with the Manager of Big Drew Productions, Andrew ‘Big Drew’ Arthurton, in busy mode as he went about the streets of downtown Basseterre handing out party flyers to passers-by, friends and other people with whom he came into contact, saying, “Hope to see you at Halloween 6 tomorrow.”

He informed this media house that “right now everything is falling into place...putting the details together.”

Arthurton said he would be out on the streets today (Nov. 1) as well promoting the event.

Although the dress code colour is ‘mutant green’ in keeping with the party’s theme, he is encouraging people to “be creative, have fun” as usual with whatever costumes they choose to wear tonight.

Patrons, according to him, could expect “full Halloween decor” at the venue and would include skeletons, zombies, artificial blood, spiders, cobweb, beware of Zombie signs and fog.

As for the security aspect, Arthurton disclosed that it would be “very tight’ with the presence of plain clothes and uniformed officers.

There will be three prizes up for grabs in three categories - Sexiest Female, Scariest Male and Best Overall. Winners of each segment can expect to take home “exciting, top quality prizes”.

Asked to give a review on the parties over the years, Arthurton said, “Every year since it started, it is growing and getting bigger.”

He shared that since its commencement, the crowd is getting more diverse and that more people have been wearing costumes in contrast to the earlier parties.

Big Drew is eagerly anticipating hitting the 10th anniversary mark, and, according to him, patrons attending tonight’s party could expect “a fun-filled Halloween night”.

Upon entry, each patron will receive the usual free complimentary drink, which is called the ‘Toxic Shot’. According to Big Drew, “We promise not to run out of drinks.”

Each year, these Halloween parties are given a theme and a nicknamed complimentary drink for the occasion. For example, last year’s party was called ‘Walking Dead’ and the complimentary drink was ‘Death Shot’.

Tickets for Halloween 6, at the cost of EC$25, can be purchased from Central Service Gas Station on Victoria Road or Island Auto Supplies in Bird Rock, while the gate price is EC$30.

Sponsors of the event are Carib Brewery (St. Kitts & Nevis) Ltd., Cane Juice, C&C, Life Fitness Center, Auto Rentals, Island Auto Supplies, Keiroy Browne Photography and SAC Ltd.
